Data controller

Data I collect

When you use the contact form you enter your name, email and a message, and optionally your company. The form opens your own email program with the details filled in, and is then sent as an ordinary email to simon@tern.agency. The details do not pass through any server or third-party service that I run. They are sent directly from your device.

If you email or call me directly instead, I collect the details you provide yourself in that email or call.

Why I process the data

I use the details to answer your enquiry and, if relevant, to communicate about a possible collaboration. The legal basis is my legitimate interest in being able to answer an enquiry you have started yourself (GDPR Article 6(1)(f)).

Retention

I keep the details for as long as needed to handle your enquiry. If a collaboration starts, I keep them for as long as the client relationship lasts, and after that for as long as Swedish bookkeeping rules require for invoicing. They are then deleted.

Who receives the data

I do not sell or share your details for other purposes. Emails you send are stored with my email provider, which processes them on my behalf. There is no external form service or database that stores what you write in the form.

How the website is run

The website is delivered through Cloudflare. When you visit the site, Cloudflare receives your IP address and technical information, such as browser and time, in order to deliver the page and protect it against abuse, and may keep server logs for a limited time. Cloudflare processes the data on my behalf. Transfers to the United States rely on a valid transfer mechanism, for example the EU–US Data Privacy Framework or the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses.

The fonts on the site are served from the same server as the site. They are not fetched from Google or any other third party.

Cookies and analytics

The website currently uses no cookies and no analytics or tracking software. That is why no cookie banner is shown. If that changes, I will update this policy and describe what is used and how you can give or withdraw consent, before anything starts to be used.

Your rights

You have the right to request access to, correction of or erasure of your personal data, to request restriction of the processing, to receive the data in a common format and to object to the processing. Contact me at simon@tern.agency to exercise any of these rights. You also have the right to complain to the Swedish supervisory authority, Integritetsskyddsmyndigheten (IMY), or to the data protection authority in your own country, if you believe I handle your data incorrectly.
